Fifteen teams, eight in Division One and seven in Division Two, are contesting this year’s edition. The tournament opened in earnest last Sunday at the Sion Hill Playing Field hard court.

Making their mark on the night was Pine Hill Nice Radio Clinchers, who eased past Green Hill Sports Club, 42-16 in a Division One match-up.

Last Sunday’s opening saw the march past and inspection of teams, which formed part of the opening ceremony.

Giving brief remarks were Luke Browne – parliamentary secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture; Dellarice Duncan – president of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Netball Association and Maia Eustace, who stood in for her father, Arnhim Eustace – parliamentary representative for East Kingstown.

The two areas of adjudication saw New Era Pepper Stars taking the best turned out team award and Everready Future Stars – the best banner, as both were a repeat of the LIME 4G National Club Tournament’s opening earlier this year.

RP Ballers won both the league and knockout in Division One. Likewise, C & R Enterprises Sion Hill did the double in Division Two.(RT)
