Peto Triumph United win back-to-back in North Leeward Cricket

Carlos James Peto Triumph United recorded back to back wins last Sunday, as three matches were completed last weekend in the Vinlec North Leeward Sports Association Twenty /20 competition at the Petit Bordel Playing Field.{{more}}

Their double victories came on Sunday.

First up, Peto Triumph United defeated Simple Sounds Family by six wickets.

Simple Sounds Family scored 152 for 6 off 20 overs.

The top scorer was Junior Murray with 61 and Jarrod Williams made 33.

Peto Triumph responded with 154 for 5 off 16.3 overs, Shamon Hooper slammed 53 and Ronique Laborde 27.

Tal Lavia grabbed 4 for 36, bowling for Simple Sounds Family.

Then, Peto Triumph United stopped Future Legends by 22 runs.

Peto Triumph United scored an under-par 115 all out, off 18.2 overs; Maxwell Edwards hit 36.

Bowling for Future Legends, Ewaldo Stapleton had 4 for 19 and Shanq-I John 3 for 10.

Future Legends, in response, scored 93 all out, off 17.3 overs. Benninton Stapleton scored 38 and Keniel Williams 23.

Allison Samuel and Vangel Small, who both picked up 3 for 5, bowled Peto Triumph United to their second win in as many matches on the day.

It was a humbling experience for Future Legends, who on Saturday handed defending champions Ruddy’s Electrical their second defeat, leaving them winless thus far in the 2014 edition.

Batting first, Future Legends posted 180 for 6 off 20 overs; Otis Matthews hit 41, Amansford Richards 28 and Elmore Robertson 25.

Ruddy’s Electrical were 108 all out, off 14.4 overs; Bill Edwards with 35, and Chrisroy John 32, were the principal scorers, as Ewaldo Stapleton took 4 for 8 and Veonson Stapleton 4 for 13.

Ruddy’s Electrical will looking to redeem themselves this Saturday from 1:30 p.m., when they take on Simple Sounds Family.

On Sunday, from 10 a.m., the RSVG Police meet Carlos James Peto Triumph United and from 1:30 p.m. Ruddy’s Electrical square off with Ajuba of Spring Village. (RT)
