Individual prizes distributed in Richland Park Tape ball competition

Following the exciting completion of the inaugural Prime Consulting /Casper Davis Richland Park Twenty/20 Tape ball Competition, the top performers were rewarded for their output.{{more}}

At the closing ceremony at the Richland Park Playing Field, the competition’s venue, Kenroy Peters of champion team Kellipar Hillsiders was the top wicket taker, with nine wickets and Gosnel Cupid of Limehill Knight Riders – the top run scorer, with 340 runs to his name.

Dougal James, of losing finalists Riverside Warriors, recorded the best bowling, as he took 5 for 39, while his teammate Donwell Hector registered the highest individual score – 149.

Hillsiders’ Salvan Browne scooped the player of last Sunday’s final.

Jovanie Davis of Riverside Warriors was adjudged the best Under-15 player and Jeremy Layne of Kellipar Hillsiders – the best Under-19 player that was on show.

Taking the Most Valuable Players awards were Suneel Paul – Kellipar Hillsiders; Gosnel Cupid – Limehill Knight Riders; Lass Haywood – Oval Wanderers ; Savil Philips – Shantytown Ball Blazers; Glenroy Jacobs – Riverside and O’Neil Endeavour – Cotton Ground Smashers. (RT)
