Brighton Veterans Striker named Hairoun Player of the Week

Striker Deomaji Samuel of the team Brighton Veterans is the Hairoun Stubbs Football Competition player of the week.{{more}}

Samuel, who said that he has been playing soccer since he was six years old, has played most of his football in neighbouring Barbados, but is now shining locally.

He last played local premier soccer for Sion Hill and was chosen as Player of the Week because of his consistency during the games his team played, even scoring five goals in one encounter.

“The selectors felt that he is very skilful and showed this when he converted his goals. He displays strength and character on the field of play,” said the tournament’s organizing committee.
