Francois set for CONCACAF’S elite referees’ assessors course


Clemroy “Bert” Francois will, from September 18 to 21, attend CONCACAF’S elite referees’ assessors course in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.{{more}}

Set for the Holiday Inn and Suites Sawgrass Mills, Francois will be among 32 from the confederation to be part of the intense course.

On the course ‘s agenda are the role of an elite CONCACAF assessor; practical technical training, as well as review, synopsis and round table discussion regarding the last World Cup held in Brazil, last June.

A former FIFA assistant referee, Francois has officiated in Olympic Qualifiers, as well as other major CONCACAF tournaments.

Since his elevation as a referees, assessor in 2011, Francois has had stints in CFU qualification tournaments at various levels, both male and female, the CONCACAF club championships and Olympic Qualifiers.

And, apart from being the man responsible for the training of local referees, Francois is often called upon by regional football bodies to lend his expertise to their referees’ programme.(RT)
