North Windward tape ball cricket competition into second weekend


The 2014 Hairoun Byam’s Physical Therapy North Windward 20/20 tape ball cricket competition went into its second set of matches last weekend at the London Playing Field.{{more}}

In completed results on Sunday, there were wins for Owia and De Shooters.

Owia Young Strikers defeated Diamonites by 84 runs. Young Strikers made 148 all out in 19 overs, as Davidson Baptiste struck 72.

Bowling for Diamonites, Kensley Joseph grabbed 3 for 23. Diamonites were demolished for 64, with Kensley Joseph scoring 28. Bowling for Owia Young Strikers, Lisborn Lavia took 2 for 1.

And De Shooters got past Rate Yuh Boy Challengers by 12 runs. De Shooters registered 128 all out, with Neil Baptiste scoring 43.

Bowling for Rate Yuh Boy Challengers, Anthony Dorsette snared 3 for 18 and Gareth Henry 23 for 24.

In response, Rate Yuh Boy Challengers were sent packing for 116, undone by the bowling of Neil Baptiste who snapped up 5 for 11.

But on Saturday, the sun did not rise enough on the Sunset versus Combine Sixers encounter which ended in a no decision because of rain.

Sunset scored 50 for 6 from 12 overs, with Kamal Tempo making 15 .

Bowling for Combine Sixers, Rodney Lawrence took 2 for 4 and Gidron Pope- 2 for 10, at which point the match ended. (RT)
