United Survivors redeemed themselves following their loss to Garifuna Stars the previous Saturday, by trouncing Northern Girls Combined last Saturday in the RBTT womenâs 40-over competition at the Buccament Bay Playing Field.{{more}}
Northern Girls Combined were dismissed for 63 in 17.5 overs, with Clea Hoyte bracing 6 for 10. United Survivors responded with 65 for 2 off 8.2 overs. Shavorne Clarke struck 22 and Kimone Homer, 21 not-out.
But at the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field, Garifuna Stars were helped down from their ascendancy by JG Tigress, who inflicted a four-wicket defeat on them.
Garifuna Starsâ middle order failed to give its top order the support and finished on 114 for 9 in 22 overs.
Juliana Nero compiled 40 and Nyasha Williams, with another good score, contributed 32.
La Toya Providence was the pick of the Tigress bowling as she snapped up 4 for 20 and Rochelle John had 3 for 22.
Stacy Ann Adams guided JG Tigressâ response with 54 not out. In her innings she lashed six fours to see Tigress to 116 for 6 in 22.3 overs.
Nyasha Williams was the main wicket taker for Garifuna Stars, taking 3 for 28.(RT)
