Casmond Walters on show in SEDI Cricket Competition
Casmond Walters was the star of the show last Saturday afternoon at the Stubbs Playing Field in the South East Development Inc T/20 Cricket Competition, as he slammed 140 not out.{{more}}
Waltersâ contribution was helped by his Team Rivalsâ team-mate Roneil Jeffrey, who contributed 41 not out, that saw Top Guns to 227 for 2 from their maximum 20 overs.
Glamorganâs feeble response ended at 83, all out. Amkel Richards top scored with 21. Walters capped off a good all- round effort, as he took 2 for 8, as Top Guns won by 144 runs.
On Sunday, Church Road Connections defeated Panthers by 76 runs. Roland Wilkinson – 68 not out and Marvin Small – 46, pushed Church Road Connections to 169 for 6 from their 20 overs.
Bowling, Panthersâ Kimique Allen had 2 for 2 and Verrol Henry 2 for 40. At their turn at the crease, Panthersâ innings ended at 93 for 9 in 15.3 overs, with Sheldon Sam leading the way with 23.
Panthersâ batting met its demise with the bowling of Javan Peters â 3 for 23 and Julian Cain â 2 for 5. Three matches are slated for this weekend at the same venue.
On Saturday from 1:30 p.m., Victoria Village Young Future Stars engage Glamorgan.
On Sunday from 10 a.m., Rate Your Boys Challengers face Third World. Then from 1: 30 p.m., Top Guns meet Panthers.(RT)
