Nero crafted 40, but it was Foster who top scored with 48, as Garifuna Stars reached 158 for 9 in 24.5 overs. Vinisha King took 3 for 34 and Sue Ann Martin 3 for 22, to be Rising Stars’ most successful bowlers.

Nero starred with the ball, grabbing 6 for 18 and Niasha Williams had 3 for 21, as Rising Stars crashed to 101 all out in 21 overs.

Vinisha King completed another decent effort, with 45 not out, as Garifuna Stars won by 57 runs.

Also putting their name in the winner’s column was JG Tigress, who over shadowed Northern Girls at the Sion Hill Playing Field.

Debutantes in the competition, Northern Girls were dismissed for 46 in 12.4 overs. ShereeAnn John 3 for 8 and Stacy Ann Adams 2 for 10, led Tigress’ bowling. Tigress responded with 50 for 2 in 9.2 overs, to win by eight wickets.

Melissa Bellingy grabbed both wickets that fell for the cost of 19 runs.(RT)
