Teams stay in contention in NLA TBPO Softball Cricket Competition

There were wins for Out Ah Trouble, E Z Woods Toppers, Bank of SVG all Stars and Gairy’s Construction Simple Boys, in last weekend’s National Lotteries Authority Top Belair Progressive Organisation competition at the Dauphine Playing Field.{{more}}

Out Ah Trouble had it all easy against General Hardware Richmond Hill, demolishing them by 10 wickets.

Richmond Hill was bowled out for 16, with Sunil James taking 3 for 4; Imron Samuel had 2 for 4 and Nico Ottley, 2 for 7. Out Ah Trouble replied with 17 without loss.

Toppers outdid Dr Thomas Injectors by seven wickets. Injectors made 80 all out; Chet Thompson hit 24 and Kesron Ashton 20. Sheldon Nanton took 3 for 8, Miles Bascombe – 3 for 17, Noel Miller – 2 for 9 and Kemuel King – 2 for 18, bowling for Toppers.

Toppers responded with 84 for 3. Darren Henry struck 24.

All Stars batted first and scored 138 for 7 from their 20 overs. Glenroy Dasent hit 38 and Earl Pope – 23. Bowling for Mac Lil Saints – Kevon Clarke had 2 for 9, Rolson Nanton – 2 for 28 and Amos Clarke – 2 for 36.

Mac Lil Saints response stopped at 94 for 9 from 20 overs. Jason Jackson top scored with 35.

Earl Pope got 2 for 12, Hugh Toby – 2 for 16 and Debrian Pitt – 2 for 21, bowling for All Stars.

Simple Boys posted 147 all out from their 20 overs. Rickford Walker made 32.

Clifford Williams and Nickie Antoine both had 2 for 18, Amread Bobb had 2 for 28, and Ishmael Baptiste 2 for 33, bowling for ASCO.

In reply ASCO were 93 all out after 18.1 overs. Deron Greaves made 33.

Eldon Morris bagged 4 for 18, bowling for Simple Boys.

The other scheduled match between Nar Fren Dem and Shot Callers was rained out. (RT)
