The four-day course was held under the auspices of the NORCECA Confederation, through the Regional Development Center, which is stationed in the Dominican Republic.

Constantine, a graduate of the Universidad Deportiva del Sur in Venezuela, was one of 21 teachers from British Virgin Islands, Belize, Anguilla, Montserrat, St Kitts and Nevis and U.S. Virgin Islands, who were part of the four-day course.

The agenda of the course includes practical and theoretical sessions focused on the way to initiate the students in the practice of volleyball and to teach the basic technical and tactical fundamentals.

Tony Westman is the instructor of the course designated by FIVB.

The seminar forms part of the development plan of NORCECA Confederation, in coordination with the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).

President of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Volleyball Association Eardley Martin told SEARCHLIGHT that Constantine has shown a lot of interest in the sport since taking up duties at the Girls’ High School, hence his selection for the Tortola course.

Martin expressed confidence that Constantine will pass on whatever he has learnt to his charges, as well as other players and coaches.(RT)
