WSG joins in table tennis resurgence

The West St George Secondary School is the latest educational institution to enter the table tennis coaching programme of the Department of Physical Education and Sports.{{more}}

The school’s formal introduction was done last Monday at a brief ceremony, which heard remarks from principal of the school Dian Williams and parliamentary representative for West St George Cecil Mc Kie, who is also the Minister of Tourism, Sports and Culture.

Immediately, at Monday’s ceremony, some students were introduced to the sport. And, two members of the sports department, Sean Stanley and Joseph Carrington, will conduct the training programme, which will be part of the school’s Physical Education sessions.

The West St George Secondary joins the Girls’ High School, the Thomas Saunders Secondary and the Dr J.P. Eustace Memorial, who have signed on to the schools’ programme of the sports department. (RT)
