Imperial completed the feat when they once again defeated Guyanese team Diplomats in the T-20 competition of the 2013 BCL.

Diplomats posted a modest 123 for 6, batting first from their maximum 20 overs. The top scorer was Keith Eddie, who scored 30.

In response, Hyron Shallow blasted 80 not out, as Imperial reached 125 for 4 in 19 overs.

Inshan Khan took 2 for 7, bowling for Diplomats, as Imperial won by six wickets.

In the process, Imperial added the 40-over regular league and the 35-over knockout competitions to their trophy haul.

Diplomats, too, were part of the new mark set in the BCL, as it was also the first occasion that the same two teams featured in all the finals.

The Imperial clan was so confident of the triple treat that tee shirts were printed prior to the outcome of Saturday’s match, which the players and supporters donned on completion of their triumph over Diplomats.

Imperial in 2011 reached the 20/20 final, but lost out to Jinnah.

But Imperial will have to wait until November 16 to collect their 2013 silverware, when the BCL will host its presentation ceremony.(RT)
