Imperial reach third BCL final

Vincentian team Imperial have bolted their way into another final of the Brooklyn Cricket League.{{more}}

The latest was the 35-over affair, for which they earned the right last Sunday at Marine Park C.

Facing their Vincentian counterparts Middlesex, Imperial was imperious, winning by eight wickets.

Middlesex, after winning the toss, took first strike and made 177 for 8 from their 35 overs.

Jacob Emmanuel top scored with 40, which included 5 fours and a pair of sixes, while Tegana Mc Kenzie’s 33 was made up of 3 fours. Mark Audain contributed 32, as he joined in the boundary parade, crossing the ropes on six occasions, and Dominic Audain 26, with three boundaries.

Bowling for Imperial, Dave Mohamed grabbed 5 for 20.

Imperial replied with 179 for 2. Marlon Johnson struck 5 fours in his compilation of 69 not out. Also making their mark were Bejorn Brown 43 and Hyron Shallow 38. Shallow’s knock included 6 fours.

In the 35-over final, Imperial meet Diplomats, this Saturday, September 7, at Marine Park C.

Also this weekend, Imperial play in the League final on Sunday and the Twenty/20 final on Saturday, September 14. (RT)
