On the other hand, the players of Dr Thomas Injectors were licking their wounds, as they went under by 62 runs at the Calliaqua Playing Field.

Taking first strike, Nar Fren Dem, led by Travis Peters 23, Keno Matthews 20 and Kenford Collins 20, got up to 115 for 9 from the maximum 20 overs.

Bowling for Injectors, Damien Allen grabbed 2 for 14 and Kelvin Lorraine 2 for 23.

But the batsmen of Dr Thomas Injectors could not cope with the bowling of Kenford Collins, who snared 3 for 7 and Brent Edwards, who took 2 for 16, as they were dismissed for 43.

Only Wendell Corridon, with 15, made any score of note.

Such was the premature end of the match that both teams then engaged each other in a five over festival under the lights, as organisers tested the readiness of the facility for a night match.

Next on the programme of activities of CADO is the annual football competition slated for the same venue next month. (RT)
