Starlight, en route to the last four, where they join Somerset and Ruddy’s Electrical, stopped RSVG Police by two wickets at the Petit Bordel Playing Field.

Batting first, RSVG Police posted 191 for 8 off 20 overs. Leading their batting was Peter Morris, who hit 61 and Elron Lewis, 39.

In response, Troumaca Starlight crossed the line at 192 for 8 off 19.3 overs.

Starlight’s brightest spark with the bat was Niclon Alexander, who scored 61 not out. Leeshawn Lewis – 45 and Dorson Cottle – 36, were the other main contributors to Starlight’s reply.

Niclon Alexander was named Player of the Match.

And, as rains intervened, the other scheduled quarter-final match between Peto Stars and Winterset Ball Beaters was affected, and has been rescheduled for this Saturday, August 31.

The semi-finals are set for Sunday, September 1, with the finals now rescheduled to Sunday, September 8.(RT)
