LIME, Guinness 3on3 Basketball League bounces off

The SVG 3on3 League, sponsored by LIME and Guinness, was officially launched last Friday, at the New Montrose Hard Court.{{more}}

The event was attended by a small but enthused crowd. The basktball tournament was opened by league organisers Junior Sutton and Oral Roberts. Brief remarks were made by former president Wayne Williams. Candice Sealey, marketing organizer of the St Vincent Brewery Ltd, presented four teams with backpacks.

The opening saw exhibition games played by all teams, after which all teams were awarded six packs of Guinness from the St Vincent Brewery Ltd.

The competition was fierce and intense, as teams fought hard for a spot in the finals. The competition format places the top three teams from each zone in the finals on October 18, 2013.

The first three teams that have secured a spot in the finals are: Calliaqua One, Street Warriors, and Shot and Dunkers.

SVG 3on3 League moves in to Barrouallie on August 31, 2013 for Stop #2.

All 3on3 teams are asked to register early to secure a spot in the competition.
