Sixty set for Kiddy Cricket Camp

Sixty of the top cricketers emerging from the 2013 Scotia Bank Kiddy Primary Schools’ Cricket programme will be part of the inaugural Kiddy Cricket Summer Camp, set for August 19 to 23.{{more}}

The five-day camp is set for the Arnos Vale Sports Complex from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

The camp will have both on field and classroom sessions for both boys and girls.

Areas to be covered during the camp include the basic rudiments of the game, nutrition, injury prevention, personal hygiene and development, the use of illegal substances and the laws of the game.

Facilitators for the camp include Stanley Hinds, Uzzah Pope, Cleton Burnette, Ian Allen,

Bertram Stapleton, as well as personnel from the Ministry of Health and the Environment, and the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force.

The Camp will commence with an opening ceremony for next Monday, August 19, at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex.
