North Leeward T/20 moves into quarter-finals this weekend

The Vinlec North Leeward Twenty/20 Cricket tournament moves to the quarter-finals stage this weekend, with the final preliminary match to be played next Saturday.{{more}}

As the preliminary round draws to an end, there were wins for Winterset Ball Beaters, Carlos James Troumaca Starlight, RSVG Police and Ajuba last weekend.

Winterset Ball Beaters defeated Sharps United by 58 runs.

Ball Beaters struck 109 for 6 off 12 overs, reduced due to rain. Omar Tucker had 29, Maxwell Edwards 3 for 27.

Sharps United replied with 51 for 5 off 12 overs.

Omar Tucker was named Man of the Match.

Carlos James Troumaca Starlight defeated Ruddy’s Electrical by five wickets. Ruddy’s Electrical were dismissed for 64 off 14.1 overs; Phillip Anthony took 4 for 10 and Kentish John 3 for 21.

Starlight were 68 for 5 off 13.4 overs; Donald Delpesche got 24 not out.

Philip Anthony was adjudged Man of the Match.

RSVG Police defeated Robertson Surveying Rising Stars by four runs.

Police scored 164 for 7 off 16 overs; Donson Andrews – 71 and Parnel Browne – 44

Amansford Richards grabbed 3 for 20 and Winston Samuel 3 for 21.

In response, Rising Stars were 160 all out off 15.2 overs; Amansford Richards made 57.

Bowling for the law officers, Malcovin Jack snared 3 for 19.

Donson Andrews was the Man of the Match.

Then Ajuba stopped and searched RSVG Police by five wickets.

Police scored 150 for 4 off 15 overs; Donson Andrews was 70 not out.

In reply, Ajuba smoked 152 for 5 off 12.4 overs; Man of the Match – Casmond Walters, 94 not out.
