Put on by the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cycling Union, the course facilitator was Irishman Chris Kilmurray.

Coincidentally, the 10-day course was the tenth such technical programme accessed by the local cycling union through Olympic Solidarity.

And, general secretary of the National Olympic Committee of St Vincent and the Grenadines Keith Joseph implored the participants to make good use of their new knowledge.

“… All we are asking of you is that the information you have gotten please, please, utilise it to work for the development of cycling,” he said.

Joseph requested of the participants that they work together and share their knowledge, using the many means of communication, including social networking.

He said he hoped that the sport of cycling will be enriched by the course.

There will be no letting up in relation to training, as according to president of the SVG Cycling Union and president of the National Olympic Committee of St Vincent and the Grenadines Trevor Bailey, another course is in the making for cycling soon.(RT)
