Imperial/Middlesex clash this Saturday in BCL

The table has been set for the anticipated clash tomorrow, Saturday, when two Vincentian teams in the Brooklyn Cricket League (BCL) clash at Marine Park A.{{more}}

Both teams have been performing well this season and with Hyron Shallow, the run machine, throttling for Imperial, the encounter is that much more tantalising.

On the other hand, the father and son combination of Mark and Dominic Audain has been the linchpin of Middlesex’s sojourn thus far.

Imperial romped to their fifth win last Sunday, stripping down the Guyanese team Diplomats by 30 runs at Marine Park C.

Taking first strike, Imperial scored 169 all out in 38 overs. Ainsley Edwards 37, Dennis Greene 36 and Hyron Shallow 33 were the main contributors with the bat for Imperial.

Bowling for Diplomats, Inshan Khan took 3 for 36, Gavin Smith 2 for 18 and Keith Eddie 2 for 31.

In response, Diplomats made 139 all out. Keith Eddie 32 and Trinson Carmichael 28 were the only noteworthy scores from the Diplomats batting line-up.

Dennis Greene grabbed 4 for 26, David Palmer 3 for 22 and Byron Mars had 2 for 13, bowling for Imperial.

Also tomorrow, Vincentian outfit Cavaliers play Sheffield at Marine Park C and at Sea View, another Vincentian team Queensbury, play Diplomats.

Then, on Sunday at Marine Park B, Cavaliers meet Panthers, while at Marine Park C, Middlesex play Wanderers.

In a packed weekend for the teams, Imperial meet Sheffield at Sea View.(RT)
