NOC to hold triathlon in Layou on Sunday

The SVG National Olympic Committee will host a triathlon on Sunday, in celebration of Olympic Day.{{more}}

The event will take place at Layou, beginning at 3 p.m. The Layou Government School is the main hub of the pre and post triathlon activities.

The Swim segment starts at the western end of the beach area, and participants of varying ages (Adults (21+), Juniors (17-20) Youth (11-16), Children (10 and under) will swim along the water area towards the Layou Government School.

The Cycling segment will be 2 km for 17+, and 1km for 10-16 year olds.

The Athletic event for everyone will be the Olympic Day Run/Jog, also being held in Layou.

Registration opens on Sunday from 2 p.m. at the Layou Government School and closes at 2:30 p.m. The triathlon briefing commences at 2:31 p.m.
