Spanning 48 miles/ eight laps of the Orange Hill to the Mount Young gas station, George battled cramps and the rain, to complete the course in 2 hours 24 minutes 43.90 seconds.

Zefal Bailey was second in 2 hours 24 minutes 45.11 seconds and third was Peter Durrant in 2 hours 24 minutes 45.11 seconds.
