Cavaliers, Middlesex, Imperial win in BCL

It was a good weekend for three of the four Vincentian outfits contesting the 2013 Brooklyn Cricket League. Chalking up victories were Cavaliers, Middlesex and Imperial.{{more}}

In an all-Vincy encounter, Cavaliers overcame Queensbury at Marine Park B.

Cavaliers, on the back of 68 from Rommel Currency, made 145 all out in 35 overs.

In reply, Queensbury was dismissed for 124 in 33 overs. Bowling for Cavaliers, Casper Davis picked up 4 for 31 and Selwyn Caine, 2 for 29.

At Marine Park C, Middlesex defeated St Catherine by 125 runs.

Middlesex, opting to bat, posted 208 for 5. Treldon McMillan hit 52 and Dominic Audain, 50 not out.

In reply, St Catherine was skittled out for 83.

Dominic Audain was the pick of the bowlers with 5 for 7; Treldon Mc Millan had 3 for 18 and Mark Audain, 2 for 13, as Middlesex romped to their third successive win, and remains unbeaten.

And, Imperial whipped New York Youths by 112 runs at Marine Park A.

Imperial posted 227 for 7 in 35 overs; Clarence Wyllie made 45, David Palmer 39 and Everad Ollivierre 35.

New York Youths replied with 115 all out; Dargi Khan with 32 and Jason Hall, 31, were the only batsmen who made scores of note.

Tomorrow, Saturday, June 15, matches continue when Queensbury meet Panthers at Marine Park A.

At Marine Park, another all-Vincy clash is up for the serving, when Imperial and Cavaliers meet.

On Sunday, at Marine Park A, Middlesex play Diplomats while New York Youths and Cavaliers face off at Seaview. (RT)
