Buccament Bay Androids are in the pole position of the National Lotteries Authority First Division of the national cricket programme.{{more}}

Last weekend, at the Stubbs Playing Field, Androids dug deep to gain first innings points from Rudy’s Electrical Unique Warriors.

Unique Warriors posted 208 all out, with Sylvester Vanloo 84, Augustine Bentick 50 and Reginald Jeffery 35. Bowling for Androids, Jesal O’ Garro took 5 for 60 and Marcus Mc Coy, 3 for 39.

Buccament Bay Androids, were 252 all out. Jesal O’ Garro made 89, Wesley Simmons 57 and Marcus McCoy 36.

Androids’ innings was propped up by O’Garro’s knock, as he blasted 8 fours and 7 sixes, to excavate his team from 143 for 9, to its eventual total.

Jamal Jeffery had 6 for 64 and Regional Jeffery 3 for 54.

Androids are ahead of Police One, as both chase the lone spot for promotion to next year’s premier division.

The other match played last weekend, also resulted in a draw, as Combined Youths gained first innings points from Radcliffe Too at the North Union Playing Field.

Choosing to bat first, Combined Youths compiled 165 all out in 40 overs. Oneil Endeavour made 59 and Vincent Cupid 30.

Bowling for Radcliffe Too, Valroy Pompey snapped up 4 for 39 and Kensley Joseph 3 for 34.

In reply, Radcliffe Too was dismissed for 100, with Nickie Antoine taking 5 for 39 and national under-15 player Shane Roberts, 3 for 19.

With a healthy lead of 65, Combined Youths did not take advantage and were shot out for 84 in 26.1 overs. Nickie Antoine hit 26. Kensley Joseph was the pick of the bowlers, bagging 4 for 16.

In search of 150 for victory, Radcliffe Too was in a spot of bother at 58 for 5 when rain ended play.

Valroy Pompey was 24 not out and Nickie Antoine with a good all-round effort had taken 3 for 16. (RT)
