GTM Bethel High School takes on Dutch Lady Clinchers for division four honours, and the two titans of division one, Western Union Mitres and Vita Malt Maple, battle it out.

The latter encounter should prove to be the perfect climax for the tournament, once their previous meeting can be replayed.

When both teams met in the league competition, they finished in a dramatic 54-54 tie.

Reports are that Maple may have won the league title on a superior goal differential.

In Thursday’s final, Maple will be looking to retain the elimination title they bossed in 2012.

The other two divisional Knockout titles were decided last Thursday, when Sea Operations Nar Fren Dem and Barrouallie Sports Association All Stars copped the Division three and Division two Knockout titles respectively.

Nar Fren Dem made a resurgence from the second quarter to stop Courts Maple. Maple led 9-5 at the end of the first quarter, but Nar Fren Dem established a slim 21-20 lead at the midway point.

Nar Fren Dem upped the tempo to be in the ascendancy, 31-26, at the end of the third quarter and claimed the title, 42-36 at the final whistle.

Tamara Baptiste was 22 from 26 and Anna Deplesche had 20 from 30 attempts for Nar Fren Dem, while Maple’s Suzette Jordan was 19 from 26 and Shema Wright, 17 from 19.

All Stars also outscored Green Hill Sports Club – 47-43, to lift the division two Knockout accolade.

But winners of trophies and awards in the tournament will not experience the normal presentation ceremony at the conclusion of the last match, as reports are that the executive of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Netball Association has planned a more formal activity. (RT)
