Sion Hill, Belair Primary win in KFC WSG Primary schools cricket

CIBC/First Caribbean International Bank Sion Hill Government and the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Belair Primary won matches in the latest round of the KFC West St George Primary Schools Twenty/20 Championship at the Belair Playing Field.{{more}}

It was another defeat for inaugural champions Coreas/Hazells Gomea Methodist, this time at the hands of Sion Hill Government.

Batting first, Sion Hill got to 71 all out, off 19.1overs; Shamar Tittle and Javan Dallaway – 12, and Nicobie Lavia 11, were the double figures contributors.

Bowling for Gomea Methodist, Dontie Williams snared 3 for 15, while Rodniel Tash and Shayne Lynch took two wickets each.

Chasing what was considered a modest total, Gomea Methodist crumbled to 54 all out, in 18 overs; Shayne Lynch made 11. Shamar Tittle took 3 for 8, to ensure Sion Hill won by 17 runs.

And, Belair Primary beat SVUT Teachers’ Credit Union Belmont Primary by three wickets.

Belmont made 105 off 16.1 overs; Zackroy John hit 36 and Kareem Thomas 24. Jahiel Walters got 4 for 39, and Rondre John, Devin Woods and Dominic Richards took two wickets each, to be Belair’s most successful bowlers.

In reply, Belair were 107 for 7 off 14.1 overs; Devin Woods was 51 not out and Chad Strough – 20.

Zackroy John had figures of 3 for 45 and Kareem Thomas 2 for 19, bowling for Belair Primary. (RT)
