Sporting the largest contingent, the Mustique Company outpointed the other financial institutions by amassing 420 points, thus completing the hat trick of titles.
A re-energised and former winner, Bank of St Vincent and the Grenadines (BOSVG), placed second with 300 points, leaving First Caribbean International Bank (FCIB) to dock in third on 300 points.
Another former winner, RBTT Bank, put together 237 points, while Bank of Nova Scotia, with the smallest representation, totalled 167 points.
Kimroy Yorke of the Mustique Company, for the second year running, was the top male athlete, as he compiled 36 points. Yorke, however, was closely followed by his team- mate Anthony Jack, who tallied 34 points, and RBTT Bankâs Jeremy Charles, with 33 points.
Among the females, there were joint top performers as the Mustique Companyâs Ziah King and BOSVGâs Samantha Olliver both registered 27 points. Trailing them were the Mustique Companyâs Karen Davis and FCIBâs Chrystal Olliver, in that order.
In the march past, the BOSVG placed first, as the adjudicators awarded that institution 62 points. Second was the Mustique Company with 60 points and FCIB third, with 52 points.
Last Saturdayâs meet, organized by Team Athletics SVG, was truncated and abbreviated, as several events had to be omitted because of light to heavy intermittent showers.
However, the entertaining tug-o-war, which concluded the dayâs happenings, made up for the previous disappointments of the participants having some of their pet events shelved.
Again absent at this yearâs event were the St Vincent Insurance Ltd, the National Insurance Service and Penny Bank Savers, who last competed in the 2011 edition. (RT)
