Jack’s coronation came last Saturday afternoon at the administrative centre of the National Sports Council at the Arnos Vale Playing Field, when the association staged its Annual General Meeting.

The meeting was constitutionally due since 2011. Following the lengthy delay, Jack and others began making moves to have the organisation normalised, through petitions and letters.

Jack, a pharmacist by profession, is expected to use his expertise to come up with a prescription for what ails the association.

The rest of the executive is mainly a continuation of the interim committee and sees Rudi Daniel installed as vice president; Andrew Lockhart – secretary and Jabarri Jack – assistant secretary.

Sean Stanley is the public relations officer, with the committee members – Orville Haslam, Kamal Hunte and Unica Velox.

However, Saturday’s meeting, chaired by president of the National Olympic Committee Trevor Bailey, had as one of the major sticking points those eligible to cast their vote.

Jack told SEARCHLIGHT on Sunday that a release will be made public as to the plans of his new executive for the revival of the sport.
