Dorsetshire Hill upstages Gomea in WSG Primary Schools’ cricket


LOG Enterprises Dorsetshire Hill Government School last weekend defeated Coreas Hazells Inc Gomea Methodist, in the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) West St George Primary Schools’ T-20 cricket competition by 68 runs.{{more}}

Playing at the Belair Playing Field last Saturday, Dorsetshire Hill batted first and made 116 all out, from 17.4 overs.

Shackeem Greaves made 26 and Johndale Greaves, 23. Bowling for defending champions Gomea Methodist, Tomar Jack took 4 for 21 and Tyisha Cockburn 3 for 30.

In reply, Gomea Methodist reached 48 all out in 14.5 overs. Kaydony Laborde made 18 not out. Bowling for Dorsetshire Hill, Edon Herbert took 4 for 19 and there were two wickets a piece for Shackeem Greaves and Johndale Greaves.

Gomea Methodist won both the league and knockout titles in last year’s inaugural competition.

Meanwhile, RSVG Police Belair Government got the better of FCIB Sion Hill Government by five wickets.

Sion Hill made 91 all out in 17.2 overs, as they batted first; Jessie Edwards – 15 and Bertram John 12.

Bowling for Belair, Joanzo Woods took 4 for 14 and Jahiel Walters had 3 for 29.

In reply, Belair reached 94 for 5 in 10.3 overs.

Jahiel Walters 17 not out, Devin Woods 15 and Ishama Walton 12.

Shemar Tittle took 3 for 13, bowling for Sion Hill Government. (RT)
