The course, which began on April 13, is being run as part of the mandate of the National Olympic Committee of St Vincent and the Grenadines, in conjunction with The Association For International Sports For All (TAFISA).

Among the topics looked at during the four days were: “The Philosophy of Sport for All and the Global Movement”; “TAFISA Sport for All Programmes;” “SFAs and the fight against NCDs”; “ Volunteerism”; “ Women and Sport for All”; and “Communications/ Public Relations in Sport For All.”

A panel discussion looking at the role of government in facilitating Sport For All, was also on the agenda for the course.

Bae Dixon and Brian Dixon were the main visiting facilitators, while local resource personnel lent their expertise and knowledge to the course.

At the end of the course, it is expected that the local National Olympic Committee’s Sports For All will incorporate the participants in an attempt to broaden its work here.(RT)
