The Chelsea clinic, which is being hosted by the SVGFF and Digicel, will take place in April and will see 30 young footballers between the ages of 14 and 16 given the opportunity to train with the Chelsea coaches.

The last pre-selection process was held at the Calliaqua Playing Field last Saturday, March 23, and saw about 50 youths from the Windward side of the island attending.

The 30 players chosen over the three selection clinics will be trained in preparation for the arrival of the Chelsea coaches on Friday, April 26.

The local selection process began in Layou on Saturday, March 9 and continued in Kingstown at the Grammar School Playing Field on Saturday, March 16.

After viewing the 30 athletes, the Chelsea coaches will then select three youngsters to journey to the Chelsea Academy in Barbados later this year (all expenses paid), where they will undergo an intense eight-day coaching clinic.
