13 named for regional cricket tourney

The St Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association has named 13 players to represent the country in the upcoming National Lotteries Windward Islands under-15 tournament, to be held from April 3 to 10, 2013.{{more}}

The team comprises: Jeremy Layne – Captain, Lesron Craigg, Erwin Williams, Donroy Sampson, Jerremy Haywood, Delorn Douglas, Kerwin Williams, Gregory Wyllie, Alex Samuel, Trevin Baptiste, Keron Williams, Urnel Thomas and Shane Roberts.

The reserves are: Terono Samuel, Kenroy Ollivierre, Ethano Trimmingham and Karsam Hoyte.

All four Windward Island countries will play each other in two rounds of 50-over games at the main Arnos Vale 1 and 2 playing fields. All matches will be officiated by local umpires and commence at 9:30 a.m. St Vincent and the Grenadines will be seeking to dethrone champions Grenada.
 
The SVGCA has named Samuel Holder as manager and Uzzah Pope as coach of the St Vincent and the Grenadines team. Holder has served in this capacity for several years and managed the Windward Islands under 15-team, guiding many of our present Windward Islands top players.
 
Uzzah Pope is a former St Vincent and the Grenadines and Windward Islands wicketkeeper/batsman.
