Coach Franklyn joins volleyball Level 1 bunch

National male volleyball captain Daryl Franklyn is the latest Vincentian to join the list of qualified Level 1 certified coaches.{{more}}

Franklyn, who attended a middle-court seminar prior to his sojourn in Jamaica, was among persons from 18 countries who took part in the International Coaches Course Level 1 Foster College facilities in Kingston, Jamaica late last year.

But while he joined the list of certified level one coaches here, St Vincent and the Grenadines is yet to have someone get to the next Stage — Level 2.

The level one course was supervised by FIVB instructors Athanasios Papageorgiou of Greece and Ramiro Hart of Curacao, as well as Reed Sunahara of the United States of America.

The event formed part of the programme of the FIVB Regional Volleyball Development.

Apart from St Vincent and the Grenadines, participation came from Anguilla, Aruba, Bahamas, Curacao, Dutch St Maarten, French St Martin, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, St Eustatius, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos, and US Virgin Islands.
