Mc Kree bags more trophies

The trophy cabinet of national basketballer Ishama Mc Kree should be tilting with weight, as he is in line to receive six more awards, having made his mark in every basketball competition in which he participated in 2012.{{more}}

When the Biabou Educational and Sports Club holds its presentation ceremony for its 2012 Biabou Basketball tournament, Mc Kree will be in the spotlight.

He finished off 2012 on a good note, easily copping the most valuable player award.

Mc Kree helped his team, Carib Calliaqua United, to the retention of the title.

The brawny Mc Kree, who stands just over 5 feet, outshone all comers in the tournament as he scored the most points — 261 the most three- pointers — 25 and the most free throws — 38.

Mc Kree was voted player of the final and was adjudged Calliaqua’s most valuable player.

It was his second most valuable player award for the year, as he took that accolade at the national championships, which concluded in June.

Mc Kree also scored the most points — 297, and had the most three-pointers —14.

Mc Kree also left an impression on the 2012 Bequia Basketball Association tournament.

Mc Kree, ferrying weekly to that Grenadine isle, bolstered Duke’s attack, and was pivotal in the team’s capture of the First Division title.

Mc Kree was the tournament’s leading scorer with 161 points from his eight matches. He also had the most assists — 32. (RT)
