King and Baptiste collected their $1,000 cash prize, a trophy, a case of Smirnoff Vodka and two packs of dominoes during a presentation ceremony on December 16 at the Dauphine Playing Field.

Taking the second place was the duo of Aaron Hepburn and Norris Duncan, who earned $500, as well as eight bottles of Smirnoff Vodka and two packs of dominoes.

Docking in third was the combination of Lionel Hoyte and Joel Pompey, earning themselves $300, four bottles of Smirnoff Vodka and two packs of dominoes.

The pairs’ domino competition, played on Sundays, simultaneously with the National Lotteries Authority Twenty20 softball cricket competition, attracted 40 pairs, stashed in four zones.

Ashford Wood, chair of the organizing committee, expressed his delight in the manner the pairs’ domino competition is growing in popularity and said it adds another dimension to the already established softball cricket competition.

He foresees the competition becoming the premier domino competition in the very near future.

Wood thanked Coreas Hazells Inc for its unflinching support for the competition. (RT)
