Masters T/20 Cricket Competition concludes Sunday
The SVG Masters T/20 Cricket Competition is set to conclude from 1 p.m. Sunday at the Arnos Vale Playing Field.{{more}}
The semi-finals are slated for tomorrow.
In the semi-finals, Sion Hill play North Leeward Combined at Buccament from 1:30 p.m.
At the same time, LOG Enterprises Kingstown meet Stanley Browne Stubbs at Arnos Vale One.
The four got to the semi-finals, following quarter-finals victories last Sunday.
At Arnos Vale One, Sion Hill defeated St Vincent Co-operative Bank Pâtani by six wickets.
Pâtani batted first and was dismissed for 99 in 19.5 overs. Their lead batsman was Alfred Mc Kenzie, with 26.
Sion Hillâs bowling saw Augustine Victory picking up 4 for 9 and Gary Rodgriquez 4 for 13.
Victory also came good with the bat, as he hit 43 not out and Colbert Mc Donald, 25, as Sion Hill got over the line at 100 for 4 in 16.3 overs.
North Leeward Combined stopped Bequia by three wickets at Arnos Vale One.
Bequia made 106 for 5 from their 20 overs. Calvin Ollivierre top scored with 30. Bowling for North Leeward Combined, Terrance Williams grabbed 3 for 23.
In response, North Leeward reached 108 for 7 off 19 overs, with Jamal Jeffrey making 22 and Walliston Stapleton 21.
Bequiaâs most successful bowler was Godwin Friday, who took 3 for 17.
At Buccament, defending champions LOG Enterprises Kingstown overpowered Computec Belfongo by five wickets.
Curtis King, with 41 not out, led Belfongoâs total of 102 all out, off 20 overs. Winsbert Springer had 3 for 17 and Hollis John, 2 for 21, were Kingstownâs most successful bowlers.
Joseph Carrington then hit 37 to lead Kingstown to 104 for 5 in 18 overs. Junior Bacchus took 3 for 2 and Samuel Holder 2 for 18, bowling for Belfongo.
And, Stanley Browne Stubbs powered past RSVG Police by 33 runs at Buccament.
Stubbsâ 122 for 6 off 20 overs was built around Leon Samuelâs 28 and Dawnley Josephâs 22.
Elgin Richards took 2 for 16 and Sigmon Allen 2 for 18 for the lawmen.
But Policeâs batsmen fell for 84 all out, as they could not cope with the bowling of former lawman Oneil Thomas, who snared 4 for 10. Theophilus Wallace had 3 for 25.
