Clinchers, Injectors record victory in NLA Top Belair Progressive organisation T-20 Softball cricket

Glen United Pine Hill Dairy Clinchers and Dr Thomas Injectors were winners in the National Lotteries Authority Top Belair Progressive organisation T-20 Softball cricket competition on Sunday at the Dauphine Playing Field.{{more}}

Saturday’s matches were rained out.

Glen United triumphed over Mac Little Saints by 4 wickets.

Amos Clarke hit 40 and Sebastian Davis 31 and Mc Little Saints, who batted first, made 141 all out in 19 overs.

Bowling for Glen, Elvis Woods took 2 for 19.

In reply, Glen reached 144 for 6 in 15 overs, led by Afram Byam’s 32.

Maxi Hackshaw contributed 31 and Henderson Morgan, 21.

Little Saints’ bowling was piloted by Frederick Jack, who snared 3 for 26 and Amos Clarke 2 for 31.

Also Clinchers got the better of Nex Level by 47 runs.

Clinchers’ innings halted at 124 all out in 19.1 overs. Kendal Buntyn 29 not out and Oheiyn Toby 20 were the main contributors.

Courtney Joyette, 4 for 26 and Enoch James, 2 for 37, were Nex Level’s most successful bowlers.

Nex Level’s unsuccessful run chase got them to 77 all out in 17. 3 overs.

Esworth Lewis hit 16.

Bowling for Clinchers, Oheiyn Toby grabbed 5 for 20, Peter Richards, 3 for 10 and Nicholas Ottley, 2 for 11.

Sunday’s other result saw Dr Thomas Injectors winning by default, as Warriors did not show up.

This weekend sees another five matches carded.

On Saturday from 1 p.m., Pine Hill Clinchers meet ASCO and from 3 p.m., RSVG Police Bangers.

On Sunday, from 10 a.m., ASCO engages Dr Thomas Injectors. From 12:30 p.m., Mac Little Saints and Gomea Bombers lock horns and CGM Novice takes on Sunset from 3 p.m. (RT)
