Troumaca Starlights batted first and made 123 all out in 19.3 overs.

Rolando Samuel was the topscorer with 38 and Taquin Samuel contributed 21.

Bowling for Ajuba, Roneil Jeffrey snared 4 for 19 and Kesrick Williams picked up 3 for 11.

In reply, Ajuba needed just 10.3 overs to reach 129 for 1.

Man of the match, the portly Kenny Stapleton, plundered 71 not out, which included eight sixes and two fours.

He and Walliston Stapleton shared in a 96-run partnership, which laid the platform for Casmond Walters to hit a few lusty blows in his cameo of 21 not out and end the no-contest without much of a sweat.

Two flats of eggs were presented to the man of the match, Kenny Stapleton, compliments poultry farmer, Philip “Tomato” Anthony.

Ajuba had overcome 2011 champions Carlos James Troumaca United in the semifinals by one run, while Troumaca Starlights had beaten RSVG Police by 7 wickets to set up last Sunday’s grand finale.

Eleven teams participated in the competition.

The presentation ceremony will take place at a date and venue to be announced by the organisers, the North Leeward Sports Association. (RT)
