Belfongo topples Arnos Vale in Masters cricket

Computec Belfongo defeated C.K. Greaves Vintage Arnos Vale by six wickets, as play was limited to Saturday only in the SVG Masters Cricket Competition.{{more}}

Vintage Arnos Vale batted first and posted 109 for 9 off 20 overs, at the Arnos Vale One Playing Field.

Their captain McNeil Morgan, who cracked 47, led Arnos Vale’s batting and another former St Vincent and the Grenadines player, Ted Roberts, contributed 35.

Bowling for Belfongo, Jecima Browne grabbed 4 for 31.

Belfongo replied with 111 for 4 in 16.5 overs. Cleus Robertson hit 37 and Peter Campbell made 26.

The other match saw North Leeward Combined beat Joyette’s Auto Slater Development Pastures by six wickets at Buccament.

Pastures batted first and was restricted to 85 for 6 off 20 overs. Jomo Thomas was the topscorer, with 39.

Federal Jeffery, with 3 for 15, was North Leeward’s most successful bowler.

Winston Skinner, 40 not out, and Jamal Jeffrey, 35 not out, were North Leeward’s mainstays, as they responded with 89 for 1 off 10 overs.
