Ruddy’s Electrical pushes aside Kingstown

Ruddy’s Electrical Barrouallie stopped SVG Masters T/20 Cricket league defending champions LOG Enterprises Kingstown at Buccament on Sunday.{{more}}

Kingstown, batting first, made 90 all out, in 20 overs. Bradley Brooker struck 26, as Samuel Byam picked up 3 for 26.

Barrouallie replied with 91 for 7, with two balls to spare.

Joseph Medford grabbed 3 for 9 and Hollis John 3 for 18, in a losing cause for Kingstown.

Another of the gurus in the competition, RSVG Police, was nabbed by Sion Hill on Saturday at the Arnos Vale One Playing Field.

The lawmen got to 118 for 8 from their 20 overs. Allan John was the topscorer with 24.

Cecil Charles was the pick of the Sion Hill bowlers, scalping 3 for 19.

Sion Hill then compiled 115 for 1, off 19.1 overs, to win by 9 wickets.

Sion Hill’s response was led by Keyon Jack, who made 40 and Bill Edwards, who carried his team to the finish with 36, not out.

But it was not the case for another of the former champions, Stanley Browne Stubbs, who crushed Computec Belfongo by 8 wickets on Sunday at Arnos Vale One.

Belfongo’s 106 for 8 off their 20 overs was built around Jesima Browne’s 25 and Cleus Robertson’s 22.

Leon Samuel was Stubbs’ top bowler, with 3 for 20.

Dawnley Joseph then hit 26 and Christopher Campbell 25 not out, as Stubbs motored to 107 for 2, off 11.3 overs.

Also at Arnos Vale One on Sunday, St Vincent Cooperative Bank P’tani defeated C.K. Greaves Vintage Arnos Vale by 7 wickets.

Arnos Vale only made 90 for 9 off their 20 overs. Bowling for P’tani, Isaac Haywood took 3 for 16.

P’tani then crafted 92 for 3, off 17 overs. Alfred McKenzie hit 37 and Isaac Haywood 36.

And in the other fixture at Buccament on Sunday, Bickles Fun Masters surpassed Da Silva La Croix by 9 wickets, in a battle of the minor forces.

La Croix was dismissed for 51 in 14 overs. Claudius Murray, Theophilus Joseph and Gregory Brewster took 3 wickets each.

Bickles Fun Masters rushed to 53 for 1, off 9. 3 overs. Samuel Richards led Fun Masters’ charge with 26 not out. (RT)
