Middlesex falters in BCL semi-finals

Middlesex, the only Vincentian hope in the Brooklyn Cricket League 35 overs cricket competition, faltered at the semi-finals, losing to Travel Treat last Saturday at Marine Park C.{{more}}

Travel Treat posted 190 all out in 33.2 overs. Abrara top scored with 76.

Bowling for Middlesex, Claymont Rose bagged 7 for 35 and Mark Audain 2 for 16.

In reply, Middlesex halted at 182 for 8 in 35 overs, 8 short of the 190-run target.

Quyyam Farrouq top scored with 34 and Mark Audain hit 25, as Travel Treat won by 8 runs.

In the finals, played on Sunday, Pakistani outfit Panthers completed the double, taking both the 35 overs knock-out and the 40 overs championship titles.

The T/20 competition gets going this weekend with all four Vincy teams on show.

From midday, tomorrow, at Marine Park B, it will be an all Vincy Clash between Imperial and Queensbury.

Also at Marine Park C, Vincentian team Cavaliers meet Wanderers and at Marine Park D, Middlesex takes on Sheffield. (RT)
