Feeling the force of Ajuba were Somerset and Sharps United.

First, Ajuba downed Somerset by 8 wickets.

Batting first, Somerset made 62 all out, off 15.2 overs, undone by the bowling of Casmond Walters who had 3 for 7; Kesrick Williams — 2 for 14, and Roneil Jeffery — 2 for 24.

In response, Ajuba raced to 65 for 2 off 5 overs; Kenny Stapleton led the way with 36 not out. Kevin Small took 2 for 17.

Ajuba then humbled Sharpes United also by 8 wickets.

Sharpes United was dismissed for 108 off 18.5 overs. The lead batsman was Winston Skinner, who made 28. Jamal Jeffery starred with the ball as he nabbed 5 for 18.

In response, Ajuba hurried to 110 for 2 off 8.5 overs; Danson Andrews powered 43 not out and Casmond Walters 35 not out. Kerry Isaacs took 2 for 27, bowling for Sharpes United.

But while it was double delight for Ajuba, it was double disappointment for Sharpes United, who lost to Rudy’s Electrical, also by 8 wickets, on Saturday.

Batting first, Sharpes United reached 128 all out off 19.4 overs. Augustus Cato topscored with 41 not out and Mc Leon Bowens hit 37.

Bowling for Rudy’s Electrical, Nolan Williams grabbed 3 for 23 and Augustine Bentick 3 for 25.

Rudy’s Electrical then erased the total, making 130 for 2, off 12 overs, McNeil Morgan notched up 63 not out.

The elimination phase of the competition takes place this weekend.
