‘Watch That’ takes Hairoun Beer Domino Knockout Competition title in Mayreau

The finals of the Hairoun Beer Domino Knockout competition came to a grand end on Sunday at the Mayreau hard court.{{more}}

The annual competition saw 10 teams across the island participating in the competition.

“Watch That”, consisting of the father and son duo Sylvester and Lennard Frederick, emerged victorious for the second consecutive year. They demonstrated to runners-up Michael Ollivierre and Lewis John — the “Untouchables” — that their team name was a misnomer, as they won quite easily three straight games in the best of five final series.

The champions walked away with the grand prize of $500 and the 2012 Hairoun Beer Trophy, while second place received $200 cash.

The Mayreau Regatta and Sporting Committee, which organised the competition, said it was an overall success.
