CJ Troumaca clan enjoys good times in NL T/20

Carlos James Troumaca United and Carlos James Troumaca Starlights shone bright last weekend in the VINLEC North Leeward T/20 Cricket Competition at the Petit Bordel Playing Field.{{more}}

Troumaca United, the defending champions, had back-to-back victories.

Troumaca United batted first against Blacklash and scored 190 all out, off 20 overs.

Rongel Small struck 52, and Elron Lewis hit 38. Bowling for Backlash, Shelford Caesar took 3 for 36.

In response, Backlash was dismissed for 154 off 19 overs. Imron Samuel top scored with 35 and Shamon Hooper made 34.

Colin Shoy took 3 for 18, while Kenneth Dember took 3 for 33, as Troumaca won by 36 runs.

Troumaca United defeated Winterset Ball Beaters by 26 runs.

Troumaca United again batted first and scored 157 all out, off 20 overs.

Rongel Small struck 40, as Desron Maloney bagged 6 for 21.

Winterset Ball Beaters were 84 for 9, off 14 overs, when play was stopped due to bad light.

Javon Samuel scored 4 for 15. At that point Ball Beaters needed to be at 110.

Also Troumaca Starlight earned a 21-run win over Future Legends of Rose Hall.

Taking first strike, Starlight made 126 all out, off 14.5 overs; Donald Delpesche hit 48. Eston Robertson had 3 for 22. Future Legends, in reply, were 105 all out, off 19.1 overs.

Donald Delpesche snared 3 for 36.

And, RSVG Police whipped Peto Stars by two wickets.

Peto Stars reached 124 for 5 off 20 overs.

Jeffron White hit 27.

In reply, Police scored 130 for 8, Vidal Edwards 4 for 11 and Shawn Lavia 3 for 24, including a hat-trick.

Three matches are set for this weekend. On Saturday from 1: 30 p.m., Sharps United plays Ruddy’s Electrical.

On Sunday from 10 a.m., Sharps will be in action again, this time versus Stanley Browne Ajuba and Ajuba and Somerset square off from 2 p.m.
