After four rounds of matches, SVG, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados are stacked on fifteen points each, having all lost one match apiece.

SVG faltered in their opening match, losing to Trinidad and Tobago by 93 runs last Wednesday.

Following that, the Vincentian, in putting together the string of victories, got past Grenada by 18 runs last Thursday.

Cordel Jack led from in front with 56 and Hazel Ann Foster made 18 not out, as St Vincent and the Grenadines, batting first, reached 104 for 3 from their 20 overs.

Grenada, at their turn, was restricted to 86 for 8 from their maximum 20 overs. Latoya Providence grabbed 2 for 15 and Cordel Jack 2 for 20.

On Saturday, when the Vincentians met Dominica, Samantha Lynch struck 46 and Clea Hoyte 28 not out, as they scored 127 for 7 from the maximum 20 overs.

Dominica’s batting was stifled for 77 for 7 in 20 overs, as SVG won by 50 runs. La toya Providence picked up 2 for 11, bowling for the Vincentians.

And, last Sunday, SVG outlasted St Lucia by 52 runs.

SVG made 114 off 19.5 overs, batting first. Captain Cordel Jack struck 43 and Myschia George 19.

Brendalin Alcide took 3 for 18, to be the St Lucians’ most successful bowler.

St Lucia, in reply, made 62 off 19.2 overs. Roylin Cooper was the top scorer with 14. Bowling for SVG, Stacy Ann Adams had 2 for 12, Rochelle John 2 for 14 and debutante Latoya Providence, who is the leading wicket taker for the Vincentians thus far, had 2 for 16.

Providence’s wicket tally is seven from four matches.
