Victors One clobbered an uninspired Police Two by an innings and 140 runs.

Centuries by Donwell Hector (128), his second for the season, and Miles Bascombe (102) and 97 from Donson Andrews took Victors One to 335 for 3, declared.

Police Two, in their first innings, were dismissed for a meager 44.

The faithful and patient Norlan Williams grabbed 4 for 16 and Alston Bobb, continuing his rich bowling form with 3 for 27, sent the law officers packing.

Police Two, asked to follow on, performed better, as they made 151 all out, batting a second time. Kenroy Martin struck a boundary filled 47. But it was Alston Bobb who was in the limelight again as he snared 4 for 63, while Kieron Cottoy chipped in with 3 for 50.

And, at Arnos Vale Two, Rivals earned a 10-wicket win over the News Spartans.

Batting first, Spartans got up to 124, led by Nixon Mc Lean’s 59 and 27 from Dawnley Joseph.

Bowling for Rivals, Deighton Butler picked up 3 for 7 with his left arm orthodox spin. Fast bowler Kesrick Williams had 2 for 13 and Orlanzo Jackson had 2 for 57.

Rivals, in response, posted 259 for 9, declared. Marvin Small (55), Kadier Nedd (48) and Casmond Walters (42), were the principal scorers. Spartans’ most successful bowlers were Teron Simon — who had 4 for 70, Nixon Mc Lean — 2 for 35 — and Micah Joseph — 2 for 45.

Spartans, in their second innings, reached 139. Teron Simon top-scored with 57 and Dawnley Joseph hit 34. Bowling for Rivals, Orlanzo Jackson hauled in 4 for 17 and Asif Hooper 2 for 11. The team, set six runs to win, reached eight without loss. (RT)
