Milo Junior Tennis Tournament ends tomorrow
The Milo Grassroot Tennis Club (GTC) Junior Summer Tennis Tournament, which served off last Monday morning at the Haddon Tennis courts at Murrayâs Road, ends tomorrow at the same venue.{{more}}
This is the third summer tennis tournament put on by the GTC and the second edition sponsored by Milo.
The tournament saw 71 players competing in the Under-6, Under-8, Under-10, Under-12 and Under-14 male and female categories.
Participants included the GTCâs four top players: Shannia Williams, Kamara Williams, Richard Hoyte, and Antonio Caine.
Other players of note who pitted their skills were twins Amarlia and Gabrielle Benn.
The GTC tournament has so far filled the national void, as the St Vincent and the Grenadines Tennis Association is yet to announce its 2012 summer tournament.
The prize giving ceremony will include the award of trophies and medals and the Potential Steel Orchestra will provide live music.(RT)
