Hector leads Victors One with a ton

Hector’s ton was decorated with 11 fours and a six, as he took advantage of an ordinary Saints bowling attack.

Also contributing in a significant way to Victors One’s response of 307 for 5 were Atticus Browne who made 70, Alston Bobb 50 not out and Miles Bascombe 36.

Bowling for Saints, Isaac Haywood was the most successful, with 3 for 61.

Saints had batted first in a rain affected fixture, and scored 176 all out. Sunil Ambris struck 61, Kenroy Peters 37 not out and Rockford Walker hit 36.

Alston Bobb grabbed 6 for 55 and Keiron Cottoy 3 for 60.

In the other Premier Division fixture set for the weekend at the adjoining Arnos Vale Two, the News Spartans gained full points from OLA Boutique Radcliffe, by way of forfeiture.

Reports are that Radcliffe had the minimum seven players; however, one player was deemed unfit for play, as he was “in toxically merry”, and the match, having started, had to come to a premature end. (RT)
