At the end of the tournament played last year during the independence season, the bank’s team emerged champions when they defeated the National Sports Council team in the Finals.

During a short ceremony held at the Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Head Office, team member Nyron Desouza was presented a cheque of EC$1,200 and the winning trophy by Vice President of the Rotary Club South, Dixton Findlay.

Upon presenting the prizes, Findlay congratulated the team for winning the tournament.

After not competing in 2010, the Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines team (formerly the National Commercial Bank) returned last year to win the tournament which was won by LIME the previous year.

Findlay also disclosed that funds raised from the cricket competition are donated to the World Pediatric Project.
